She addressed all our concerns

After leaving the hospital, I faced severe engorgement and painful nipple fissures that made breastfeeding traumatic. Despite seeking help, nothing worked—until I reached out to Abella Health. Christine’s patience, thorough guidance, and reassuring support changed everything. She addressed all our concerns and gave us the confidence we desperately needed. It was worth every penny, and thanks to her, I’ve been able to pursue my breastfeeding goals with peace of mind.

The support I received was truly invaluable

My first breastfeeding journey was filled with pain, confusion, and self-doubt. Within the first week, I developed severe nipple wounds, and despite trying to heal and express milk, my supply dried up before two months. I felt judged for turning to formula and judged myself even more. With my second child, I was determined to do things differently. I reached out to Christine at Abella on a friend’s recommendation, and it changed everything. With her practical guidance on latching and reassurance that “that little milk is enough,” I gained confidence and peace of mind. This time, I healed quickly, enjoyed breastfeeding, and my daughter thrived. Over a year later, I’m still breastfeeding and deeply grateful. The support I received was truly invaluable and has made me an advocate for lactation support. Breastfeeding is natural but not always easy—yet with the right help, it can become a joyful journey.

I was greatly helped

I was greatly helped by Abella Health when my 3rd born was unable to latch. It was a difficult time because he was not gaining weight. I thought that being my 3rd baby, I got it covered, because with the first two, I had no issues. My two takeaways during that season were 1) Babies are different, and we need to prepare well for each baby. 2) There is no need to be ashamed to get help at any point, but being prepared before the baby is born is better. As moms, we need to be equipped with the right knowledge and skills to breastfeed our babies for their wellbeing and ours too. This is where Abella Health comes in. Christine is a patient listener and a skilled lactation expert; she will walk this journey with you. My baby is now big and healthy and has attained the desired milestones. I am grateful for the support I received.

Working with Christine was such a joy.

Working with Christine was such a joy. I reached out to her at a time when I was really struggling with nursing my baby and didn't know what else to do. She came to my home and we talked through it like long-term friends. She equipped me with much needed information that has helped me until now. When she left, I felt more at peace caring for my newborn, because I had received the encouragement and assurance I needed. I would reach out to her again, as I believe every new mum needs a lactation consult at least once. Consulting her was a worthy investment.

Christine's support came at just the right time,

When I reached out to Christine, I was really struggling with breastfeeding—painful latching, cracked nipples, and a gassy baby. With only one bag of milk in my freezer and pumping being so uncomfortable, I was seriously considering formula. Christine's home visit was exactly what I needed. She created a supportive environment where I could talk through my birth experience while learning better techniques for latching, pumping, and bottle feeding. Her practical advice for those early postpartum weeks made all the difference. The session boosted my breastfeeding confidence, and I ended up nursing for over a year and built up a good milk supply before returning to work. Christine's support came at just the right time, and I'm truly grateful for her help during those challenging early days.
